While Kevin Harvick was winning the soggy NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, hundreds of NASCAR fans were enjoying an upclose and personal show at LaGasse’s Stadium at the Venetian/Palazzo. Tony Stewart was there to receive the Venetian•Palazzo Legends of the Sport Award.

A show opening video presented a colorful synopsis of the racetrack accomplishments of 11 year NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart. He seemed nearly shocked when he recounted that he’s been in a race car for the last thirty years, wow, three decades of going fast, real fast.

Tony Stewart brought along his Stewart Haas teammate, 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman, and the pair entertained the crowd for nearly an hour.
