Time-lapse photos of Earth Hour Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Sun took some time-lapse photography of the Strip going dark for last night’s Earth Hour that lasted from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This is the first instance the Strip has gone dark.

Invited by the World Wildlife Fund, Las Vegas was one of by 2,500 cities around

the world to participate in a “lights out” as a sign of support to save energy.

The Fremont Street Experience additionally participated.

Pictured above is an image from that date lapse, the instant right after Luxor’s beam turned off.
