NBC to produce new Las Vegas poker TV series

NBC will produce a new Las Vegas poker series that pits poker professionals against poker amateurs.

The same production company behind NBC’s “Poker After Dark” created “Face the Ace” and is slated to start Aug. 1.

Our concept was to have a poker pro play against a table full of amateurs in a regular low-limit cash game in Las Vegas. Could a pro survive the volatility of a regular game?

We suspect the new show will be at higher stakes.
