Without any major press coverage, Steven Johnson has quietly purchased a two-acre parcel at the north end of the Strip, what was once going to be the Ivana Trump condo.
Formerly the site of the Holy Cow Casino, the corner is opposite the Sahara and Stratosphere casinos.
And in a few years, it’ll also be in spitting distance of the new MGM Mirage project scheduled after Project CityCenter.
Johnson, 58, an Arizona businessman who lives in Scottsdale, has no immediate plans for the site for which he paid $47 million, but it’s zoned for gaming should he decide to apply for a casino license.
