Acrobatics, colorful costumes, awe-inspiring sets and of course, Ninjas. Located at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is Ka by Cirque du Soleil. This is the high-flying story of twins, a boy and girl, who must go on a difficult journey all while performing death-defying stunts and keeping the forces of evil at bay. You will just sit in wonder while watching this show. If you have never seen anything by Cirque du Soleil, it is honestly like nothing you’ve ever seen in your life. It will take days to wrap your mind around the thought, detail and hard work that went into creating such an amazing and original show. There is a large rotating stage that at once will be lying horizontal, and then will spin to be standing vertically with the actors still on it and they are continuing to run and fight despite the ground shift. There is a large “machine” in the story that helps the forces

of evil that is powered by people who spin around in it and all the while all you can wonder is “How are they not falling out?” The sets take you from a ship to a snowy tundra to an industrial warehouse to a rainforest. The costumes and makeup are equally breathtaking, with a careful attention placed on every single item. They help transport you to another world entirely. Many of the acrobats help to make this an interactive experience as well. Running up and down the aisles during attack scenes, and hiding up in the rafters and spaces within the theater. If you look around during the show, you’ll probably see a ninja or two plotting something villainous. Along with the acrobatics is an impressive display of martial arts. They mesh wonderfully with the dancing and feel of the show. There is a story to follow which they introduce you to in the beginning. While they don’t have a lot of dialogue, the emotion, action and music keep you intrigued, wondering all the while what will happen to these twins. And there are ninjas.
This show is worth every penny. You will not leave feeling disappointed.
