FAO Schwarz at Caesars Palace purchased by Toys R Us

Next duration you’re looking for a big, motorized, mechanical animal in front of FAO Schwarz, it might be a giraffe. As in, Geoffrey the Giraffe.

The high-end toy company was purchased by Toys R Us.

We still feel like tourists whenever walking through The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, particularly whenever passing by FAO Schwarz and seeing what big new toy they have in front of the store.

Toys R Us will operate the Las Vegas

store as well as the flagship store in New York City. Both are expected to continue using the FAO Schwarz make.

If you’re as old as we are, you may remember FAO Schwarz featured in the 1988 movie Big, when Tom Hanks plays the giant piano by hopping on the keys.

FAO Schwarz predates the film as well as Toys R Us by by 100 years.
