Clark County schools return to 9-month calendars

In a cost-cutting move, all of Clark County’s schools will change back to 9-month calendars beginning with the next school year. Previously some were running year-round.
Seventy-six schools will be affected beginning Aug. 30.
The move is expected to save the district $21.3 million, with $7.5 million more saved in special education services.
