Buffalo Bill’s shuts down hotel midweek

If you’re a hotel operator in Las Vegas during an economy slowdown, what do you do when your open your doors and no one comes?

Some may reduce capacity by closing floors to reduce workforce.

Herbst Gaming’s Buffalo Bill’s in Primm Valley (aka Stateline) has made the strange cost-cutting move of staying open weekends but closing midweek.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that reservations can be made at Buffalo Bill’s Friday through Sunday

nights, but all midweek dates through December have switched to “sold out.”

Herbst purchased the trio of Primm casinos (including Whiskey Pete’s and Primm Valley) from MGM Mirage in 2007 and has since been struggling with its debtload.

The Primm Valley area is a bridge to Las Vegas, with drivers from California passing through to either try their first or last hand at luck.
